At Sensation is intended that all guests in white garments appear. The ArenA is inserted in white. The motto at every party Sensation is "Be Part Of The Night - Dress in White". Sensation is primarily a House and Trance event. There are approximately 40,000 tickets available. Sensation is held every year in the first weekend of July. The dress code for wearing white to come to the 2nd edition was introduced in 2001, in tribute to September 2000 in a road accident killed Miles Stutterheim, brother of director Duncan Stutterheim by ID & T and co-founder of this organization. The funeral of Miles was then also carried out entirely in white.
The first edition of Sensation was memorable not only because of the fact that for the first time in a great stadium a big party was held, but also because barely 48 hours earlier in the same stadium the equally memorable semi-final of the Euro 2000 football tournament site thought, very unfortunate that the Dutch national team lost against Italy after missing several penalties during the race and after extension.
